John Singer Sargent: Figures and Landscapes 1874-1882, Complete Paintings Volume IV

This is probably the best Sargent book yet. It's huge (over 400 pages) and has excellent reproductions, many paintings I've never seen before, like the Octopi still life (genius).

 Parkhurst was a student of Bouguereau and Morot.  A reprint of the 1898 book. You dont need to pay $200 anymore for the original.

Cecilia Beaux is probably the best women painters working around the turn of the century. Before this book came out last summer, it was difficult to find anything on this artist. The book has excellent reproductions.
